Consistency
Like the heading today? A little bit hypocritical coming from me right now because one thing I haven’t been doing lately is consistency! In particular consistency with my blogging and with my low carb healthy fat way of Eating!
The right time for everything…
However as I left with my last blog, that my priorities had changed to a focus on working on my mindset and getting on top of my anxiety and feeling down. I don’t say depression, because I wasn’t in that place. But what I have been doing consistently is working on my mindset, meditating daily and consistently making the effort to have a positive mindset. And today I can honestly say it is working. I feel for the first time in months my default mindset is returning to positively I feel like my spark is starting to come back!
What’s really important to you at this time.
Being mindful of my own journey and putting what I’m doing and prioritizing, has been a really eye opening process for me, almost like an experiment. My automatic default when times were getting tough was – oh you have to go back on a diet and exercise regime to loose weight, only to set myself up to fail. That has been my own belief system I have set up over the years, working in the fitness industry, and my own thoughts of what people think of me (our minds really do play havoc on us!!). But at this time, that wasn’t what was right for me to focus on – that is a cover for working on what really needs to be worked on and facing resistance.
In combination with working on my mindset is controlling and improving my nutrition, sticking with low carb healthy fat way of eating. Excluding the chocolate fest that was Easter that went on way to long – I am doing generally pretty good at maintaining that way of eating. I can happily say that I hoped on the scales this morning to see another 1.5 kilos had gone.
The experiment will continue.
This week I start my art classes which is taking my way out of my comfort zone as I continue to work on me. I’m so excited to see how this experiment will grow and how is helping other woman on their journey’s.
